My University Days

My University Days

My university name is Technology University. The university days are the most wonderful days. I still remember the first day I went to the university. Everything around me it was new faces, teachers  university, doctors, and buildings. First time, I didn’t know one. I was afraid. The first moment I thought is difficult to make new friends, but after that everything is going so easy, especially after introducing party each student introduce himself. My university is very old university is built from 1970. The university just had engineering departments and scientific departments. My mom and my uncle also graduated from my university. I studied four years in mechanical engineering department. Four year it was passing so quickly, but every day was special for me. The university time was different 100% from high school time. I felt more responsibility in university than high school. In high school you set on your spot in small room call class, but in university you sit in different spot in big hall and talks with doctors and demonstrator not teachers. I attend the university in 2000 and graduated in 2004. We don’t celebrated for our graduated because that times our country were living bad Situation. So the President of the University cancels all kind festivities. We were sad, but also afraid from the explosions. I still remember these days and thanks God for everything.

Shopping at Honest ED

Shopping at Honest Ed's

On May 2nd, I decided to attend a trip with my class. We went to Honest Ed's. It is a big shopping centre in downtown Toronto. We started our journey from  Don Mills Subway Station at 10 a.m and everybody had to meet there. Then we took the train heading to  Bloor station. When we reached there, we changed the train and took other one going to Bathurst westbound. It was a great experience for me, and also I learned how to use the map to reach my destination. After that, we reached Bathurst station and got out of  the station. We went to the store which was in front of the station. We reached the store and began shopping on the ground floor in the cosmetics department .  We didn't waste our time. Then we went to the first floor which was kids, women, and men department. We found everythings there was cheap. I bought a new  shoes for just $7.99.  After that, we went to the kitchenware department where  I met our teacher Joseph. He told us time is up. So everyone stop shopping. For lunch the class went to a Korean restaurant , but Alia,  Amany, and me finished our shopping and went home early. I was so tired that day but also happy because I did shopping with my friends its different than I thought. It was a cool and amazing, but still 1.5 hours is not enough for me in a big store like Honest Ed's. Maybe I need more than 3 to 4 hours. I spent a nice day with my friends.

Thank you

We're planing a picnic at Centre Island on Canada Day. We told our friends about it. So they decided to be there with their families, and we decided each family would bring one thing. My husband and I will be in charge of dessert, the games will be planned by Anni and her husband, and three other families will responsible for the main dishes. I think the trip will be amazing.

He sells the most popular models of cars such as Civics, Accords, and CRVs. For that reason he became an assistant sales manager in a short time.

Population Growing And Changing

Canada's population was about 34 million in 2010; there is a census every five years. The last one was in 2011. The next one will be in 2016. In 2006 the census showed that Canada‘s population is growing and changing. Between 2001 and 2006, Canada’s population grew by 5.4%. Canada’s first inhabitants were the Aboriginal people.  They are 4% of Canada’s total population.  Today, there are 1.2 million Aboriginal people in Canada.  Also, Canada is a country of immigrants. More than 6 million Canadians are foreign-born.  In 2006, Canada’s immigrant population grew four times faster than the Canadian -born population. In 1901, Canada’s people were mostly of English, French, and Aboriginals origin. Today, Canadians have more than 200 different ethnic origins. The median age in Canada is 39.5. Canadians are getting older.  There are two main reasons for Canada’s aging population. The fertility rate is low-only 1.5 children per woman and the life expectancy of Canadians is increasing. It is now 82.5 years for women and 77.7 years for men.

Teach children the right way to use money

Many families teach their children early to how use their pocket money. There are many ways to teach them how to control their allowance, depending some families give their children the money weekly and others give it monthly. The purpose is to let the children have more experience in saving, spending, and even investing it. Young children may spend their budgets as soon as they get the money from their parents,  others decide to save it or invest it. The important thing is to let them to build their experience and personality early. So I think it is a good idea to teach them about money,  but at the same time they need our advice and our experience to do that.

Dear Chitra,

I hope you are doing well. I read your letters so I can give you some advice about to move to Canada. Once you decid to come to Canada you need to bring all documents related to your family with you. Also you asked me about school attendance, the rules, and the way to register. I would like to tell you in Ontario school attendance is obligatory that means your children must attend school therefore you need to bring with you their birth certificates, immunization records, and any other documents or degrees issued by their school.
If you have any more questions, please ask me.

 Thank you, regards
   Lara
